Maple Syrup Soap

Maple syrup is great on pancakes and is used in all sorts of wonderful recipes – but did you know it also is a great ingredient in soap!

Maple syrup is a purely organic substance. It is made by boiling down the sap from maple trees until it fully thickens into syrup. Maple syrup contains an antioxidant-rich profile of manganese and zinc along with other beneficial trace minerals and essential fatty acids. When added to the soap pot, these qualities may ultimately benefit the skin along with the rest of the skin loving oils which we use to make our soap bars.

Along with nutrients, maple syrup adds a wonderful lather-boosting element to soap due to the syrup’s natural sugar content. Maple syrup is said to be a skin softener and acts as a moisturizing agent. Maple syrup is not commonly allergenic either, so it should not be a problem for anyone with sensitive skin. Additionally the rich, complex and multi-layered bouquet of maple syrup adds a distinct and pleasant sweet natural fragrance to the soap. The lovely amber color of maple syrup also adds a beautiful color to the soap bar. Maple syrup brings many benefits to a bar of soap, and to your bath as well.

Ingredients: Organic Olive Oil, Water, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Palm Oil,  Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Organic Maple Syrup .
